Animal Language is the genre dodging, forward thinking imprint of Dutch duo 'Mason'. Iason Chronis (the DJ side of Mason) and Coen Berrier have been busy putting the fun back into dance music with their amazing production skills and irreverent outlook on the electronic scene.
The Mason sound follows a simple method. Their understanding of melody and a canny ability to fuse it with technological know-how, sheer musicianship and dance floor savvy creates dance music for the thinking man, but not so clever to be alienating and dull. This is about rocking floors and letting the good times roll. This fledgling label is starting to gather support from far and wide, crossing boundaries with the depth and variety of DJ support. With everyone from Carl Cox, John Digweed, Nic Fanciulli, Sander Klienenberg, A-Trak , Chris Lake , Darren Emerson and Mylo behind the label, things are certainly heading in the right direction.
Mason have just licensed their massive collaborative track with (Run) DMC and Sam Sparro from Animal Language to the Ministry Of Sound in the UK and have bags more of their innovative releases scheduled for the next few months including everything from strong vocal tracks through to pure club fuelled bombs.
Each release comes with the signature a completely random re-interpretation of the original tune. Styles can vary from brass band, 80's synth pop to heavy rock. Its all very random and more importantly fun.
